Lily is absolutely besotted with all things Christmas. Pretty much anything with lights on it is "Christmas tree!" and she gets so excited whenever she sees anything Christmas-ey. Houses with lights, actual Christmas trees, Santa images, etc., etc. It's really cute, and I wasn't expecting this until next year, actually, so it's kind of fun. I'm looking forward to taking her to see Santa this time, since I'm pretty sure that she won't throw a fit when we go to put her on his lap. Well, scratch that. She may reach out for me to hold her, so I won't assume anything right now. Still! There is hope! Every time we pass him in the mall, she yells, "HI SANTA! HI SANTA!" and waves wildly. Good signs, all.
Oh, and we bought her a tricycle for Christmas. Classic!

Adding a blogger link to my Bookmarks Toolbar has already brought me here more often than before!
Lily's up to the usual; she's become very vocal about everything thing she wants, and this you can drill down to one thing: treats. She was definitely born with my sweet tooth, and has no qualms about requesting whatever treat she fancies in any moment. Be it donuts, Tootsie Rolls, Fruit Loops, ice cream, a general "chocolate" request, or something else, she knows what she likes.
She requests oatmeal, and then rarely eats it.
Overall, eating is just one, giant frustration.
In other news, only three months to go until she gets her new baby brother. I'm ready and I'm not, in that I am no fan of pregnancy (or the accompanying weight gain and my ravenous appetite), but I am also not ready to be up all night again. I'm counting on post-birth adrenaline. Please, please, please don't just be a "new mommy" thing!

Oh, my!
How time flies. I may need to keep this open in my browser to remind myself to post. See, I haven't been really avoiding posting things about the past few months, it's just that we've been so busy. Our kitchen remodel starts shortly, which has kept me inordinately busy. I also have suffered from a poverty of thought, which in my hormonal pregnant state-of-being, I blame on "pregnancy brain." This is not a wives' tale. This is a real thing, because I have turned into something of a raving idiot.
The other day, I left the keys in the ignition of the car, and walked into Costco to shop. You know, in case anyone felt like they wanted a free Accord. Then, I pulled up in the drive-way, got out to get Lily and walked inside. All while leaving the car running.
This is me lately. I am just going to stick to knitting and try not to drive too much.
