I need to start recording this stuff, because the day will come when I inevitably forget it all.

Story 1:

Last night, Kevin left out a box of Lemonheads on a side-table in our living room. I didn't notice them this morning, sitting there, otherwise I would have put them away. Lily, being Lily, decided she needed to touch and shake the brightly-colored box; you know, see what it could do. The top of the box was open, so Lemonheads went flying everywhere as she shook the box with the sort of enthusiastic fervor reserved for stuff that makes a loud, satisfying shaking clatter. Lemonheads flew everywhere, rolling and bouncing across our hardwood floor. I frantically ran around, picking up the candies, lest she grab one and pop it in her mouth. I thought I'd gotten them all, but lo, I noticed that she'd popped two into her mouth. Caius was napping, so I didn't want her to start screaming if I dug them out with my finger. So, I just watched her suck the Lemonheads, knowing she'd want them out of her mouth once she hit the sour part. I was sitting a few feet away, on the floor, watching when she spit them out on the floor. She calmly bent over, picked them up, and trotted over to me with an "Eh! Eh!" and placed the sticky candy balls in my hand, and walked on. She had other things to do.

Story 2:

Later, I was thumbing through the grocery ad, trying to put together some good coupon scenarios (and boy did I! $165 worth of groceries for $67 thankyouverymuch). I was licking the tip of my finger to turn the page -- I know, gross, but it was my ad, and newspaper sticks together. Anyway, Lily walked over and plopped into my lap, licked her finger and touched it to the page. Then she did it again. It amused me; she didn't try to turn the page, just got the licking part down.

Anyway, that's all I'm good for right now! Lily stories! I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Love!
